NOTICE: General Service Water/Wastewater Billing is moving to bi-monthly billing effective January 1, 2018
In our continuing efforts to achieve greater billing accuracy, improve customer service and reduce mailing issues and costs, the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury will be moving all General Service Water/Wastewater customers from a monthly billing schedule to a bi-monthly billing schedule, effective January 1, 2018.
What does this mean to you?
- Instead of twelve bills each year you will now only receive six.
- Better alignment of due dates and payments.
Will my bill look different?
Your bill will look exactly the same, but you may notice:
- The meter reading, usage history and fixed rates will now reflect approximately 60 days.
- Your water/wastewater consumption will cover a period of two months instead of one.
What happens if I pay by pre-authorized payment?
If you pay by pre-authorized payment, you will continue to see a payment withdrawn from your account on the due date of each bill issued, which will now be only six times per year.
When will I be moved to bi-monthly billing?
General Service customers will receive their first bi-monthly bill sometime in March for the period of January 1 to February 28, 2018. Payment will be be due 35 days from the issue date of the bill, in accordance with our Water/Wastewater By-law 2013-095. You will be billed on a bi-monthly schedule from that point forward.
PLEASE NOTE: Your last monthly bill before moving to bi-monthly billing will be for the period from December 1 to December 31, 2017 which will be issued mid-January 2018 and due 35 days from bill issue.
