Holland Street Servicing Study

Completed in: 2021

Sector: Studies/Environmental Assessments
(This assignment was completed and incorporated into the Holland Street Environmental Assessment)

Project Description

This study evaluated the Town’s existing infrastructure along the Holland Street corridor between Professor Day Drive and Bridge Street, as well as the area along Dissette Street between Bridge Street and 225 Dissette St. This evaluation identified the planning and design of new infrastructure required to service new development in this area.

Background:

The new OPA27 requires a significant densification within the study area including the development of multi-story buildings that will house a combination of commercial and residential space. This new development will require additional water and sanitary servicing capacity and the study will give the Town an indication of how best to implement the increased requirements while minimizing impacts to existing businesses and residents along the two corridors.

Bond Head Sanitary Pumping Station

Completed in: 2020

Sector: Water/Wastewater

Project Description

This pump station conveys sanitary flows from development within Bond Head to the Waste Water Treatment Plant in Bradford.

Background

In order for Bond Head to expand in population, it was necessary to provide a solution for the sanitary flows that new development would bring. Through the planning and design process, it was determined that a new pump station would be the best solution. The new pump station conveys flows south along County Rd 27 to Line 6 where the flows continue easterly crossing under Hwy 400 where they turn south and discharge into a new pumping station located at Line 5 & Hwy 400 Interchange. From there the flows are pumped along various routes to the Bradford WWTP.
