Notice of Complete Applications and Public Meeting on Proposed Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendments
Pursuant to Sections 22(6.1), 34(10.4) and 34(12) of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13, as amended
Take notice that the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury has received the following complete applications to amend the Municipality’s Office Plan and Zoning By-law 2010-050:

AND TAKE NOTICE that the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury will be holding a public meeting electronically on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 7:00 pm to consider the proposed amendments. The Council meeting will be streamed live on the Town’s YouTube channel at: www.youtube.com/c/TownofBradfordWestGwillimbury
(Please note that there may be more than one public meeting and that the matter will be dealt with in the order that it appears on the agenda.)
The purpose and effect of the proposed Official Plan Amendment is to redesignate 1.4 hectares (3.46 acres) of land from “Agricultural” to “Active & Approved County Waste Disposal Site” to facilitate the expansion of Waste Transfer Site 16 thereby improving the function of the site, accessibility and traffic safety. The purpose of the Zoning Amendment is to rezone the lands from the “Waste Management Holding (WM(H2))” and “Agricultural Holding (A(H2))” Zones to the “Waste Management Exception One (WM*1)” Zone with the effect of treating the contiguous lands zoned “Waste Management Exception One (WM*1)” as a single lot. The purpose of the meeting is to inform the public of the nature of the proposal, invite public input, and answer questions regarding the application.
Any person may make a submission in support of or in opposition to the proposed Amendments. Please see the “Protocol for Electronic Participation in Meetings of Council” for participation in the Public Meeting if you wish to make an oral submission. The Protocol is set out at bradfordwestgwillimbury.civicweb.net. If you are unable to make written submissions and therefore wish to make an oral statement during the meeting please email firstname.lastname@example.org prior to noon on November 23, 2021 to register. You will be provided further instructions on how you will connect during the virtual meeting. All oral statements will be recorded as part of the electronic meeting and will be posted for public viewing on www.youtube.com/c/TownofBradfordWestGwillimbury.
If you wish to be notified of Council’s decision regarding the proposed Amendments, you must submit a written request to Alan Wiebe at the address shown in the paragraph above.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at the public meeting or make written submissions to the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury before the proposed Official Plan Amendment is adopted or the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Council of the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury before the proposed Official Plan Amendment is adopted or the proposed Zoning By-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
