Annual Water Quality Reports
Section 11 of
Ontario Regulation 170/03, Drinking Water Systems, requires that an annual report be prepared by February 28 of each year. The report must cover the period from January 1 to December 31. The report describes the operation of the drinking water system owned and operated by the Town of BWG, as well as a list of system improvements, sampling and testing results.
The Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change (MOECC) has implemented a rigorous and comprehensive approach in the inspection of drinking water systems. The inspection keys in on the source, treatment, and distribution components of the system as well as management practices. Annual drinking water inspections are conducted by the MOECC to ensure the municipal drinking water system conforms to all necessary regulatory requirements set out by the Province.
