The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury has prepared an Asset Management Strategy and Plan which outlines asset management best practices, documents current status of the Town’s assets, and recommends an improvement and replacement plan.
The Town is responsible for $290 million of assets, including land, buildings, fleet, machinery, equipment, IT infrastructure, roads, water distribution system, storm water and waste water collection systems.
The Asset Management Strategy and Plan follows applicable Ministry of Infrastructure guidelines described in Building Together: Guide for Municipal Asset Management Plans. The Plan assists the Town in improving the effective management and maintenance of the Town’s assets.
The Asset Management Strategy and Plan is based on currently available data and information on the Town’s assets. The Plan consists of several living documents and will require continuous updates and improvements over time with the Town’s ongoing data collection initiatives.
