Each year, the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury celebrates local citizens and groups who have made a
significant contribution to the community, with the presentation of Civic Awards. 

Nominations are being accepted in the following categories:

  • Athlete of the Year (individual)
  • Organization of the Year (group)
  • Citizen of the Year (individual)
  • Youth of the Year (individual)
  • Outstanding Achievement Award (group or individual)
  • Volunteer Service Award (individual)
  • Senior of the Year (individual 65 +)
  • Sports Team of the Year (group)

Nominations are open until Wednesday May 10, 2017.  Nomination forms are available to download here: Civic Awards Nomination Form.pdf ​

The awards will be presented at 7:30pm on Saturday, July 1, 2017, on the Main Stage at the Canada Day Celebrations at the Bradford and District Memorial Community Centre.

Eligible nominations must be for contributions made between May 1 of the previous year and April 30 of the current year. At the discretion of Council, more than one award may be presented per category, or there may be no award in a given category if eligible nominations are not received.
